ABSTRACT
The COVID-19 pandemic and the ongoing war in Ukraine are the source of many
difficult situations, life crises and disasters, which requires assistance and social support.
This necessarily short article presents selected aspects of the occurrence of crises, critical life
events, post-traumatic stress disorders, fear of death and the processes of overcoming difficulties,
providing help and social support. The issue of education for peace has been shown in a new light
