ABSTRACT
The aim of this thesis is to analyse the process of occupational adaptation among kindergarten teachers. The research on occupational adaptation encompassed adaptation to the occupational tasks. Considering a group of 50 aspiring kindergarten teachers, the research was performed using a survey. The results of this research indicate that the process of occupational adaptation among modern kindergarten teachers proceeds successfully. The difficulties signalled by novice teachers are related to the discrepancy between the pedagogical theory
acquired during their studies and the professional practice of the teaching profession; the frequent ministerial changes.
