ABSTRACT
The work presents the history of bryological research conducted in the Wielkopolski National Park in the years 1932 - 2014. To characterize the bryoflora, 4 articles and bryological notes, 5 phytosociological publications, 6 bryological master's theses and herbarium materials geathered in the herbarium of the Natural Sciences Collection of the Adam Mickiewicz University (POZG) were used. During over 90 years of studies, 262 taxa of bryophytes were recorded in the Wielkopolski National Park - including 26 species of liverworts, 1 species of hornworts and 235 taxa of mosses (226 species and 9 varieties). Specimens of 12 species of liverworts and 158 taxa of mosses are collected in the POZG herbarium. The largest number of mosses (173 taxa) was provided by Mondelska (1932), but her data are not entirely reliable due to the lack of herbarium materials. The bryoflora is dominated by liverworts and forest mosses, growing on ground habitats and rotting wood, while the share of epiphytes and species of humid habitats is relatively small.
