Aims and scope

 
Stosunki Międzynarodowe-International Relations is a leading, peer-reviewed Polish academic journal in the field of international relations, presenting views and research findings of scholars from Polish and international academic institutions.

The journal was founded in 1982 and is published as a quarterly by the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies of the University of Warsaw.

Journal’s mission:
  • publishing high quality original scholarly research in the field of international relations, taking into account different viewpoints as well as theoretical and research approaches;
  • stimulating debates and studies related to international relations on domestic and international levels;
  • promoting the achievements of researchers and research centres;
  • popularising research and knowledge in the field of international relations from Polish and global perspectives;

The journal Stosunki Międzynarodowe-International Relations publishes original, peer reviewed articles encompassing a broad range of topics, theoretical approaches, methodologies and sub-disciplines in the scholarly field of international relations, including detailed analyses of issues derived from: international political, economic and social relations; international security; diplomacy; international institutions and organisations, as well as international law et al.

    By the decision of the Ministry of Education and Science dated 21.12.2021, the journal received 100 points on the Polish ministerial list of scientific journals and peer-reviewed international conference materials.

    The Editorial Board of Stosunki Międzynarodowe/International Relations accepts various types of original contributions that align with the journal’s aims and scope, such as: original articles, review essays, case studies, book reviews, research notes and conference reports.
    • The journal welcomes submissions of manuscripts in English (possible publication in other languages after consulting the Editorial Board).
    • The Editorial Board does not charge any fees for submitting and processing manuscripts, nor does it remunerate the Authors.
    • The content of Stosunki Międzynarodowe/International Relations is available in open-access.
    • The views and opinions expressed in the articles are based on the Authors' knowledge and personal beliefs and do not necessarily represent the views of the Editorial Board or the Advisory Board.
    • Citations from the journal are welcomed but acknowledgement of the source is required.
