ABSTRACT
The Central Mining Institute in Katowice has developed a measuring platform in response to the growing need for rapid determination of variable physicochemical, smoke emission from of single-family buildings, as well as from small local heating and production plants. The key role here is the application of a drone as a mobile media for measuring devices, which provides simultaneous in situ measurement of basic parameters of household smoke emission supplemented by images from cameras and GPS telemetry data. The presented Platform Measurement parameters were mounted on a drone. The platform is supported with self-powered laser for dust meter analysis of PM10, PM2.5 and PM1 particulate matter share fractions and the gravimetric aspirator with membrane filter for measuring the concentration of total dust (as a baseline measurement). The used aspirator can also provide gas sampling by the gas sorption tube or special bags. It allows to study the concentrations of dust, grain dust composition, the chemical composition of dust and gas collected exhaust gas over the test emitter in the laboratories. Dust monitors, most preferably, are supplemented by carbon monoxide sensor as an indicator of improper coal burning. The developed platform also allows to conduct quick inventory of the concentration and size of dust and the concentrations of CO and CO2 in the form of single laser measurement module. An example of measuring household emissions in the morning in one of the districts of the City of Bytom was described in the paper.
